On Thursday, September 18, the cast of BILLY ELLIOT gathered in Studio A of Quad Recording Studios, located in the heart of New York's Time Square, to record a song for the upcoming 2008 Carols for a Cure CD, sales of which will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Music and lyrics for the previously unrecorded special holiday tune, "Cold Christmas", were written by Sir Elton John and Lee Hall, respectively.
